Coming Soon: Breathing Fundamentals for Pelvic Floor Function – Cheltenham

I am very excited to soon be launching my brand new Breathing Fundamentals for Pelvic Floor Function course in Cheltenham!

This course is designed to help you harness the power of breathing biomechanics to reconnect with and strengthen your pelvic floor. Each class will last approximately 75 minutes and will run weekly over 4 weeks, offering a steady, supportive pace for learning and integration.

For many people, understanding how breathing muscles relate to the rest of the body - and experiencing this connection more fully - can have a significant positive impact on pelvic floor symptoms. According to Dr. Paul Sly, an Oxygen Advantage Master Breathing Instructor and practising chiropractor, physiotherapists, chiropractors, gynaecologists, and obstetricians have increasingly recognised the importance of pelvic floor muscles over the past five to ten years. Dr. Sly notes, "the role of the pelvic floor in breathing is critical."

Using a combination of foundational breathing practices and accessible yoga postures (no prior yoga experience required), this course will:

  • Deepen your connection with your pelvic floor muscles

  • Explore the biomechanics, biochemistry, and physiology of breathing and posture

  • Help you build an embodied awareness of how your breath supports your pelvic health

Let's not be secretive about this growing issue - when we can use something as fundamental as breathing to begin the process of regaining proper recruitment of the pelvic floor, it opens up empowering possibilities for better function and quality of life.

What participants are saying:

"With Vicki, this has been one of the most empowering experiences. To understand and practice the connection between breathing, diaphragm, and pelvic floor has been a revelation. After a short time, I am beginning to make the connection – a way to go, but the opportunity of gaining back control of bladder (or, if you prefer, pelvic floor) is as much motivation as I need."
